Information we collect

Account and profile information may include an email address, display name, home airport, travel preferences, and authentication records. Trip workspaces may contain destinations, dates, constraints, ideas, comments, votes, itineraries, expenses, receipts, maps, notes, tasks, and invitations supplied by members.

If a member chooses to publish a trip story, its selected title, text, destination, author display name, and approved photos become public. Draft trips, private uploads, and unpublished stories are not publisher content and are not used as advertising pages.

The service also receives technical information needed for security and operation, such as IP address, browser and device type, requested URLs, timestamps, error details, authentication events, and rate-limit records.

How information is used

We use information to authenticate users, enforce trip membership, provide collaboration features, generate requested AI planning assistance, calculate shared expenses, deliver invitations and service notices, prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, and improve reliability. We do not sell private trip information.

AI processing

When a user requests AI help, relevant trip context may be sent to an AI provider to create a response. Users should not enter passport numbers, full payment-card data, medical records, or other sensitive information that is unnecessary for planning. AI output may be inaccurate and must be verified before travel or financial decisions are made.

Advertising, cookies, and Google services

TripQuorum may use Google AdSense on manually reviewed editorial guide articles. Ads are not placed on sign-in, account, private trip, messaging, navigation, error, empty-state, or user-generated story screens. Private trip content is not passed to Google to target ads.

When advertising is enabled, Google and its partners may place or read cookies, use web beacons, process IP addresses, or use other identifiers to deliver, measure, secure, and personalize ads as permitted by a user's choices and applicable law. Where required, advertising remains disabled until consent is collected through a Google-certified consent management platform. Users can change consent choices through that platform when it is active.

Sharing and processors

Information is shared with other members of the same trip as directed by the user. Service providers may process limited data for hosting, authentication, database storage, email delivery, maps, monitoring, file storage, AI responses, and advertising. They receive information only for the service they provide and are subject to their own terms and privacy obligations.

Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect users, investigate abuse, or defend the service and its legal rights.

Location and sensitive information

Travelers may enter destinations, addresses, and route points for planning. TripQuorum does not use private itinerary locations for advertising personalization. If a future feature requests precise device location, it must present a just-in-time explanation and obtain permission before collection.

Retention and deletion

Information is retained while needed to provide the service, protect account security, satisfy legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain backups. Members can delete supported trip items and archive public stories through available controls. Security logs and backup copies may remain for a limited period after primary data is removed.

Children

TripQuorum is not directed to children under 13, and users under 13 may not create accounts. The service does not knowingly use information from children under 13 for personalized advertising.

Your choices

Users can limit optional information they add, manage browser cookies, decline or revise advertising consent where the consent tool is available, keep stories in draft form, archive published stories, and leave trip workspaces they no longer wish to access. Disabling essential authentication storage may prevent the account service from working.
